ISSUE-143: DEFAULT_INPUT_MODE

DEFAULT_INPUT_MODE

State:
CLOSED
Product:
Addendum to BP1 (formerly known as mobileOK Pro)
Raised by:
Jo Rabin
Opened on:
2006-09-07
Description:
If the document type is XHTML Basic 1.0 PASS

If document type is XHTML Basic 1.1 [or XHTML-MP] and an empty[1] input or
textarea element has no inputmode attribute then FAIL.

[1] It may be to gild the lily but having just read the specification of
inputmode it should be ignored by the user agent when the field is non-empty. So
if it is going to be ignored why insist on its specification?
