ISSUE-62: null certificate_authorities list

certificate_authorities

null certificate_authorities list

State:
OPEN
Product:
WebID-authn-TLS-spec
Raised by:
Henry Story
Opened on:
2011-11-18
Description:
When the Server requests a certificate from the client it should ask for the Null certificate_authorities list, allowing the browser to send any certificate it wishes.

This needs to be added to spec, including information about the fact that this is possible in TLS - see the old thread on foaf-protocols where Bruno Harbulot discussed this.

The other thing to discuss is if it is possible then to create a well known DN for WebID that all WebID clients could claim to be signed by.

Related notes:

The second part of this question is really the same issue as issue-59 Filtering & Versioning WebID Certificate
The first part has been accomplished: the text has been added to the spec.
