  • New in the XG:
    • colleagues from Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, e.g., Florian:
      • At Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Berlin
      • worked with USDL, rating mechanism
      • Fraunhofer FOKUS about security claims and requirements
      • Collaboration with Fraunhofer IAO on rating
      • No direct efforts available currently, maybe in the future
    • Oliver Müller from Uni Münster, Germany will join as invited expert
  • Opening of German-Austrian W3C office in Berlin
    • Talk between SAP and W3C, Jeffrey Jaffe said that USDL is suits to W3C
    • Jeffrey said that more important than the specification are independent implementations
    • Massimo: Thomas Roessler, chair of tech and society domain, WS Activity: find a container in W3C, privacy, security, e-government could be possible
    • Massimo: USDL might also be of interest for mobile provider or browser providers
    • Kay will contact Yves Lafon together with Massimo
    • Daniel: two implementations are needed
      • ca technologies could be one, Ken thinks it's reasonable
      • Siemens could be the other
