Name

Experimental Reproducibility Analysis

Owner

Jim McCusker

Background (optional)

Where this use case takes place in a specific domain, and so requires some prior information to understand, this section is used to describe that domain. As far as possible, please put explanation of the domain in here, to keep the scenario as short as possible.

This section can also be used to document the provenance of the use case.

Goal

Compare the level at which one experiment reproduces the other.

Use Case Scenario

Given the provenance accounts of two experiments, it should be possible to compute the overlap between the models. Do they use the same methods, or just the same type of methods? Do they use the same specimens? Do they produce the same results, or confirm the same hypothesis?

Problems and Limitations

Computational comparison of two experiments is currently not possible, as there is no comprehensive, generalized way of describing experiments.
