Project Danube views the Federated Social Web and the Personal Data Ecosystem as two sides of the same coin, sharing the core idea to give users back control over their data and relationships. Project Danube also envisions decentralized communication systems to enable new forms of social interaction, going beyond the rather straightforward attempt to simply re-create in less evil ways what we already have today.
