Cryptography basics (1/2)
- Cryptography: protection of information by rendering plain information unreadable and for restoring encrypted information to intelligible form
- Secret Key Cryptography (symmetric): the key used for processing is kept as a secret between the parties
- Public Key Cryptography (asymmetric): use of a private/public key pair which are inverse of each other
