The CSW could exist now

• Chemistry is an ideal subject for SW
• Scientists must reclaim their data (from publishers)
• Simple markup is sufficient (i.e. ontologies not needed)
• The pharma industry must wake up

The biggest obstacles are lawyers, payments, Word, GIFs, and proprietary chemical tools
