I bully Terry into joining the channel

bijan: Noted SWSs researcher and a person to blame for OWL-S
bijan: Look, a photo: Terry Payne
bijan: This chumping was a demo of the chumpbot's features.

Perhaps we should have a link to the mailing list from the scrachpad?

bijan: It would be handy.
bijan: As a future bot idea, it'd be cool to have a "thread highlight" or activity thing in the side bar.
bijan: Hmm. I guess the Chump, unlike the original DWLB, doesn't support mailing chump items. Ah well...

Tutorials and Workshops at WWW2005

bijan: And there are a plethora of SWS related ones.
bijan: In the half day tutorials, we have Basis for Automatic Web Service Composition from the Romans (should be terrific), Introduction to RDF Query with SPARQL (but with the usual suspects cover the protocol stuff?), aaaaannnd...
bijan: ...Location-based Services in Mobile Information Systems - Architectures, Description, and Systems (no clue).
bijan: For the full day tutorials, we see Network and Web Services Security concepts using Java (ok, not sws per se) and Automating Web Service Composition With HTN Planning (by me; I'll chump details as I make them :)).
bijan: And then there are the workshops (get your papers ready!): The Semantic Computing Initiative - From Semantic Web to Semantic World (no clue), Innovations in Web Infrastructure (IWI) (Semantic REST services, anyone), Semantic Web Services: Towards Dynamic Business Integration (didn't we just have this)
bijan: ...and Policy Management for the World Wide Web (and this!! :)).
bijan: I should not that the Industrial and Practical Experience Track is still open (til Feb. 7th). So, write up your massive industrial SWS success stories!!!!
bijan: Helpful paper tips: Repeat, "my god, we save X billion dollars with OWL-S! But we can't quite tell you how since that would reveal trade secrets! But trust us!" as many times as possible. Shrink margins if you must!
