ISSUE-61
Movement of Patterns between Basic and Advanced Specifications
- State:
- CLOSED
- Product:
- Basic
- Raised by:
- Paul Downey
- Opened on:
- 2006-05-30
- Description:
This was discussed at the Edinburgh F2F, but we had no formal issue for our resolution: At present we have a large number of issues stalled open waiting for practical testing with toolkits. What happens if we accept a pattern as being "Basic" but later discover it isn't well supported by "state of the art" toolkits, eg. during CR testing? Proposal: Mark all patterns in the Basic patterns document as "at risk", that they may be moved into the Advanced document based upon practical testing with toolkits. Similarly mark the Advance document that patterns may be moved to the Basic patterns document based upon practical testing. Removal of patterns from the Advanced document altogether is something we should treat with more caution.
