clarification of non-redundancy of medium and mode

Description:
A clear example that captures the importance of have both medium and mode:
If the user provide input by drawing this can be classified as mode=ink. If they are
physically drawing on a touch sensitive screen this is medium=tactile since the
system senses the user by direct contact. If instead the used is drawing and their
input is sensed using a camera mounted above or below then medium=visual since the
signal comes into the system by computer vision.

Q: What about multitouch tables where the user draws on the hard surface and their
motion is sensed be a camera within the table?
