ISSUE-152: ADD: representation of complex NL semantics in EMMA (conv apps issue 13)

ADD: representation of complex NL semantics in EMMA (conv apps issue 13)

Description:
(No. 13 from the convapps workshop)

"EMMA Extension for Richer Semantic Representation. We want to be able to represent the semantics of complex NL. Example: "give me all the toppings except onions", or "I want to leave this afternoon or tomorrow morning to arrive before noon". In current standards we can represent attribute-value pairs and there is hierarchy in EMMA, but there is no way to specify modifiers and quantifiers between slots."

EMMA can represent these since we can embed arbitrary XML. Another option is to use RDF for the payload and specify the more complex semantics in RDF. The issue here is to add examples of this to the 1.1 version of the spec to make clear that complex semantics beyond attr/val lists can be captured.

MJ: Added new text to 4.2.18 to clarify this point:

Note that while many the examples of semantic representation in the specification are simple lists of attributes and values, EMMA interpretations can contain arbitrarily complex semantic representations. Any XML representation can be used for the payload, so representation can be nested and ids can used. Also using emma:result-format and emma:literal as above, other kinds of logical representations and notations can be used as EMMA payloads.
