There is not good place to annotate this.
In use case document, we illustrate this by using the "derivation" feature of EMMA. This is fairly verbose, might also want things like "annotated-tokens", but would probably need more structure than that. You also need some way to indicate when things were annotated. "side-speech" "out-of-domain". this is more good support for the annotation use case and brings up more issues. Need range of standard things and way to extend. Will need to work through examples.

MJ: Added new section 4.1.9 and 4.2.22 for new emma:annotation and emma:annotated-tokens. The latter is a shorthand for the common use case of adding transcription of the tokens.
