Greg Pisocky The proposal needs more discussion (see comments field) If we mean that any dialogs that are available for manipulating these properties are to be accessible then I can accept the proposal. If however this proposal is meant to mean "locate all of the items in bold text" then I disagree.
Alastair Campbell Recommend changes (see comments field) It seems correct, but quite long. Perhaps we could drop the "by an editing view", as if it is editable, it is by-definition an editing view.

A.2.2.2 Access to Rendered Text Properties: If a text property is both rendered and editable, and the property can be communicated by the supported platform accessibility service, then the property can be programmatically determined. (Level A)

Email reference: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-au/2011JanMar/0014.html

Proposal re: B.1.1.2: clarifying (c) and (d) as follows:

(c) Automatic Checking: After the automatic generation process, accessibility checking is automatically performed; or
(d) Checking Suggested: After the automatic generation process, the authoring tool prompts authors to perform accessibility checking.

Alternative content fulfills essentially the same function or purpose as the original content. WCAG 2.0 recognizes several general types of alternative content (for more information see WCAG 2.0):

Jutta Treviranus Recommend changes (see comments field) having the right may not mean they have the permission - should we replace "right" with "authorization" which carries with it the implication of administrative ability?
Sueann Nichols Accept the proposal
Greg Pisocky Accept the proposal
Alastair Campbell Accept the proposal
Cherie Ekholm The proposal needs more discussion (see comments field) I think the wording here leaves a lot to be desired. The definition essentially is using itself to define itself. I can't at the moment come up with a good alternative but will try to come up with some thing by the meeting.

Cherie Ekholm Recommend changes (see comments field) The grammar needs to be cleaned up. Also, the definition of all of these content-related terms begin to be really circular when the word "content" is used repeatedly in the definition itself. They read very awkwardly. This was was particularly difficult to read.

default option: When an option is set to be on by default.

Recommend:

A setting or value for an option that is assigned automatically by the authoring tool and remains in effect unless canceled or changed by the author.
Alastair Campbell Accept the proposal
Cherie Ekholm The proposal needs more discussion (see comments field) Here the word "default" is used to define itself even more so than was done in the content definitions with the word "content". This effectively leaves the term undefined.

Alastair Campbell Recommend changes (see comments field) I'd suggest some minor changes for clarity:

ATAG 2.0 uses this term is used in two contexts:

- Processing content: Is the authoring tool able to extract the language of content from the markup.

- Communication between the authoring tool and assistive technology: For non-web-based user interfaces, this means making use of a platform accessibility services, general-purpose APIs, and in some cases document object models. For web-based user interfaces, this means following WCAG 2.0 so that the user agent can pass on the information.

However, the first bullet implies that it is specific to (human) language, is that the intent?
