Position Statement for W3C I18N Workshop

My goals for the W3C Internationalization Workshop are:

• Bringing new people into the Internationalization (I18N) Activity
• Gathering new ideas for I18N Activity goals for the next phase of our work

The work of the current W3C I18N Working Group has consisted mainly of:

• The development of architectural I18N documents
• Reviews of documents written by other groups

I would very much like to see the creation of a second I18N Working Group (i18n-geo-wg), with a focus on:

• Guidelines
• Education
• Outreach

This group would work closely with the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). To make this a reality, we need an infusion of new people.
