Suppose you want to produce a standard mailing label such as:
The following publications specify mailing labels in terms such as Mailpiece and Delivery Address.
This schema establishes URIs to correspond with the terms in those documents for use in RDF.
The perl script jobieLabels.pl consumes data that uses this vocabulary and produces standard labels using the PostScript-MailLabels-2.02 package. @@I would have thought that the one of the well-known RDDL natures/purposes would have been applicable here, but I don't see one. The label above corresponds to this bit of RDF:
The classes and properties follow, in a stylized form of RDF schema.
includes military thingies and territories, I think.
Hmm... does Shawnee Mission, KS have its own government?
see also census places@@
unique w.r.t. zip; i.e. a deliveryAddress and a zip uniquely determine an object
hmm... regex pattern?
range is string; should be <13 chars
@@ a ont:UniqueProperty, ont:UnambiguousProperty
cf. Appendix B. Two-Letter State and Possession Abbreviations
range is SocialEntity or something; hm... what property relates SocialEntity to a name used in a mailing address? Does the USPS really talk about SocialEntities, or should I just make one property that combines p:returnTo and c:called?
this stuff I sorta made up...
e.g. POSTOFFICE p:postmark P. LETTER P '2001-12-17'
